HaLoWeEn 2009!!!

Well here they are! I really dressed up three times, but I only have pictures of 2 costumes. Monday I was the tooth fairy, then I was a sailor on Friday for work, and Cruella for on Saturday! Yay I love dressing up!

I was trying to be serious, but it wasn't working!

Our fun friends! We love Halloween!

I was sick of looking mean in all the pictures so I had to have a smiling one!

RiKelle and I. She was Mother Nature, complete with a birds nest in her hair. Look at that serious face! It's a lot harder to do than you would think.

Take a look at that ride! (PS that was also my Cruella Devil car!)

We totally had the best costumes at FHE....hands down.

This Year's Book...

Hi family. Christmas is fast approaching, and Sam and I have been given the task of choosing the book we read this year. We have chosen Shepherds Why This Jubilee? by Jeffrey R. Holland. It is a Christmas book and is a little on the shorter side for those of you with limited reading time (or abilities - Justin). Would you please be so kind as to comment and let us know that you read this? Otherwise we will personally call and invite you to read with the rest of the family :) We are super excited to see you all! Love you all!

FYI

Our play day has been set for Thursday the 30th. We plan on going to Bear Lake and have reserved 2 jet skiis/skis? for 4 hours, starting at 10:00. Everyone is invited. Also, we have a couch, a spare bed and bedroom, plus ample floor space for anyone interested. Our home is also equipped with 2 toilets and AC, for our/your convenience. The downstairs toilet has a history of being incapable of handling large man loads. (all FYI) So please feel free to grace us with your presence and if you don't we will hate you for a very long time. That's all.

Happy Anniversary!

I know this is a few days late, but I want to wish Mom and Dad "Happy Anniversary!" I can't believe you've actually been married 32 years! I'm so thankful that you married and had a beautiful baby girl almost a year later :) Thank you for being such great parents and for being good examples of a husband and wife. I have always known that you love each other. You treat each other well and are best friends. I think I've taken it for granted that I have parents who love and honor each other...and are married! I love you and hope the next 32 years are even better!

Just a little update

Our blog is so boring these days. I feel like I am the only one who ever posts anything. But now that school is out I find myself with nothing to do.....I guess I could finish unpacking, organizing my new house, all that fun stuff, but that sounds so unappealing to me. So to further delay I guess I will make an update on our blog. School ended with a bang. Finals week was the worst yet, but I say that every semester. I am so glad it's finally over. ONE MORE CHEMISTRY CLASS! That's right family, I only have one more and then I will be done with chemistry forever. If you couldn't tell, I'm a little excited about this fact. I really do love the things I learn in them, but it's so fast my little brain has a hard time keeping up. Next semester isn't going to be very fun though. I am finishing up my minor in business management. Being the incredibly intelligent person that I am, I decided to get my minor in business management, despite the fact that I have absolutely hated every single business class I've taken. Doesn't make much sense does it? But hopefully it will be nice when I am a registered dietician and can work for myself....that's the plan anyway.
I moved into my new house for the summer, and I LOVE IT! It's so cute, nice and big, and I GET MY OWN ROOM!! It's so great! I haven't minded sharing because I really liked the girl I shared with, but it's just glorious to have my very own room. I remember when Heidi and I got our own rooms and I was so scared.....what was I thinking!? Anyway, I am inviting any and all to come and stay at my house. We have a spare bedroom, so come on up!
Other than that things are great. I got a new job at the Wellness Center on campus! It's great! I like working somewhere that is semi related to my major. I still work at the billing company too, but it's summer now so I have time to work 2 jobs. It keeps me busy, but that's exactly what I wanted. I was informed by the second counselor in the bishopric that they have a new calling for me, but he couldn't tell me what it was because apparently they hadn't "prayed" about it yet. Ha ha it was pretty funny. I kind of wondered why he mentioned it to me in the first place if it wasn't a done deal, but oh well. I expect I will find out this Sunday what that calling is, providing that Heavenly Father gives permission. Tami's wedding is this weekend, so tonight I am leaving for Mesa. It's going to be a fast trip, but it will be nice to be in the warmth and to see most of you guys. I can't believe she is getting married. Blows me away! Don't worry, I will take many pictures so you can all see!
Well fam, that's about all for my life as of now. Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure. Love  you all!

Here are some pictures from Easter! I know, I'm a little slow, but better late then never!

Oh aren't Grandpa and Grandma so cute!

I love the look on their faces! Makes me laugh every time I see it!

He's so ferocious!

I don't think they know what to think about each other!

He's so smiley! I just love him!

No Boys Allowed

So Heather, Hilary and I have been talking about going on a trip every year together for awhile now...but this is the first year we are actually doing it. We are going to Denver, CO in July (15-18) and we are going to go white water rafting, among other things. All girls in this family are invited. Even if you can't come the whole time, if you want to come for even part of it you are more than welcome. We would love to make it a tradition for all of us, but we know how crazy summer can get so we understand if you can't make it. Anyway, think about it. Let us know so we can plan for hotel rooms and the rafting and stuff. It will be super fun. The only thing set in stone right now are the dates, so if you have any ideas, or any requests that the rafting be on a certain day, just let us know. Hopefully everyone can come. Oh and obviously this post is meant for mom, Jen and Sherrie. For any questions about that, please refer to the title.

Spring Break '09!!!!!!

Hey family!
Well, spring break came and went and it was so fun! A bunch of friends and I loaded up in the car and went to Moab. One of my friends had a jeep, and my roommate brought her 4-wheeler and we just partied the whole week long. It was so great! The jeep trails are so great! I couldn't believe the things that we were going over. It's a rush. I think we should all go sometime. We also hiked the arches one day, and that was a lot of fun too. Mostly it was just great to be out in the sunshine! On Monday morning I woke up to a whole foot of new snow! It was terrible! I was really depressed about it! I also got to see Heidi and Jacob for a few minutes. It was good to see them. And that was pretty much my entire spring break. It was really great. I am not looking forward to going back to school, but I guess we all have to do stuff we don't like to, right? Well, I miss all of you guys and hope everyone is doing great!

This was the group. Me, RiKelle, Josh, Trevor, and Dustin. It was so so so fun!

Oh the beauty of moab!

Oh my gosh jeeping is so fun! I was in the back and it was GREAT! Believe it or not it's scarier to be outside of the jeep watching them go then it is to be inside. Both are WAY FUN THOUGH!!!

Just a little nook we found, I'm pretty sure I was in there with some mice, but hey, it's spring break!

Scalin' the mountain. It really was a pretty intense climb, I was proud of myself!

Yay for Moab!

Anyone headed to RV?

Hey everyone my sister is moving to Colorado next weekend so my mom is going to see her this weekend. She is wanting to stay the week but her ride is coming back Sunday so I am wondering if anyone, Heidi or Heather going to RV next weekend (the 27th) and wouldn't mind bringing my mom with you. I know the chances are slim that you are actually going but I thought I would ask! Thank you. Love you all and hope everyone is doing good.

What a weekend!

Hello family!
I SHOULD be studying my little guts out right now, but I'm finding it hard to concentrate at the moment. I thought I'd just take a minute to update everyone on my extremely interesting life.....ha ha ya right. This past week has been quite enjoyable though. The other night my roommate and I got an itchin' to do some good ol' fashioned tie dying! So off to walmart we went. We picked up the tie dye kit, a pack of white sports bras, a pack of white underwear, white turtlenecks and these really awesome/awful sparkly tank tops that we had been wanting for MONTHS! We went back to the house and got started! I'll tell ya tie dying is about the greatest motivation to wake up the next day that I can think of. I could hardly sleep from the anticipation! And of course we were not disappointed. They turned out SUPER awesome. We didn't really like the turtlenecks, so we cut the neck part off and use it as headbands. Creative, we know. See pictures below....they'll blow your mind
This past weekend was president's day, and to celebrate RiKelle and I went to St. George with her family to participate in the parade of homes......WOW. Let me tell ya' these people know how to build some houses. There was this one house that was 19,000 square feet! It was HUGE. It had a half basketball court, FULL BLOWN racquet ball court, rock climbing wall, and putting range in the basement. I can't even describe how awesome this house was. It had this little play room for the kids that was ALL harry potter and they had painted it like it was diagon alley complete with the hogwarts express and everything. And all of this can be yours for only 3.5 million. A bargain if you ask me......Anyway I wish I would have gotten pictures. We also went hiking and it was amazing! NO SNOW TO BE SEEN! I almost forgot what it was like to live without the stuff, then I came back to logan.
Also, I just wanted to let everyone know that Tami got engaged this weekend. Her wedding is May 8th or something like that. Little Tami is growing up. I'm a little weirded out by it, but mostly extremely happy for her! Anyway that's all that is going on in my life. School is lame and I hate it more and more everyday. This is a bad week so my hatred is running pretty deep at the moment. I have to talk in church on sunday and I want to cry. I hate speaking in public. My voice shakes and I squeak. It's lame. Anyway I love you all and hope everyone is having a wonderful February!

Me, RiKelle, and her friend Cora.

Just me being Simba on Pride Rock!

Look at that view, and best part.......... NO SNOW!!!!

Yay for tie dye!

Our awesome headbands.......

News on Gramps

Hey fam,

I just got off the phone with Mom and seeing as how her computer is still on the fritz she asked me to pass on the message about Grandpa. His tests came back and they were all good, so they think it's one of his many medications. They are in the process of taking him off certain ones to see if that helps. He's already doing so much better. Good news for him!
Also, I just wanted to tell you guys about an experience I had the other day. I would consider myself to be moderately active. I mean I work out, but I could be much better. Well the other day I went into the wellness center here on campus to talk to my new clients for this semester. They aren't really my clients seeing as how I just assist the RD here on campus, but I think of them as my patients. Well, this new case that we have is a 19 year old girl who has been morbidly obese her entire life. She was telling us that she doesn't even know what it feels like to walk from one end of the room to the other without being out of breath. She has never gone running, swimming, biking, dancing or any of the fun things that I take for granted everyday! So, after we had our consultation with her I did her fat fold measurements. That was one of the hardest ones I have ever had to do! I've done them so many times before, but not someone so big and so close to my age. After she left the RD and I were in shock. Her story is so sad and she has all sorts of diseases and health problems. So, anyway it just really made me appreciate my body, and the fact that I can MOVE. In celebration of my new epiphany, I am planning on running a half marathon in April. I just started training. Ha ha a half marathon isn't even far especially to Jason cause he did a MARATHON and Heidi who runs like a mad man. But it's a big step for me. So don't let me slack. We could all run a 1/2 marathon as a family! Celebrate being able to get out of bed in the morning! If there are any of you out there that want to join let me know! I have a training schedule with your name on it!
Anyway. That's pretty much all that's been going on with me. I hope everyone is doing great! Love you all mucho!

Fam Pics

Well I got the family pictures. I know mom in planning on burning a copy of the disc for everyone so they can print the pictures they want, but I thought I'd post some previews so everyone could see how they turned out. I personally really like them.

Message from Mom

Hi Everybody. Mom can't post from her computer...her cookies are messed up. She wants you all to know that she has tried to comment on your posts and blogs, but she can't. She asked me to post and let everybody know that Gramps isn't doing very well. He's had really bad headaches, and his hand is still really hurting. He's lost more weight and is in a lot of pain. He could use extra prayers right now. Mom would also like us to fast for him on Sunday. They are doing tests this week and hopefully will know more about what's going on and how to help him. Please try not to freeze to death, and remember who you are. (Mom would say that.) Love you! (She would say that too.)

Something worth blogging about......

Well family, I finally have something worth blogging about! You all know what it is, seeing as how I called you all before I actually bought it, but I LOVE my new computer!!! I named him Chip, and he has just been my best little friend from the beginning. I am happy to report that I haven't suffered from buyers remorse! I really do love having a lap top.....I feel really spoiled that I actually have one now! It's already came in handy so many times. It's great and I couldn't be happier! I went to Evanston this weekend to visit Grandpa and Grandma. It was so nice to go and visit them and be spoiled and fed! Jessy came with me so it was fun to have her there. We met in Salt Lake and so we left at about 3:30 on Sunday to go home, I didn't get into Logan until 8:30!!! It was terrible! We were stuck in the canyon between Park City and Salt Lake for 2 hours! The snow was terrible and I thought we were going to wreck a few times, but lucky for Jess I am an amazing car driver! JK, we did have some pretty close calls, but someone must have been looking out for us. Anyway, just wanted to say hi to everyone, and make my first official post from Chip. Here are some fun pictures compliments of my new little friend (Chip)! Love you all and miss you!

Quite disturbing, I know!

We are so pretty!

This was added so you all don't think I have mutated into some hideous creature!

Come on people

Ok, so this blog has been untouched for far too long. We all know I don't like blogging about my life because I really have nothing to share. I could talk about my classes, but that would mean I actually unstand what the crap my professors are talking about, and at this particular time that isn't exactly what's going on. Most of the lecture is spent with me writing notes as fast as my hand will move and thinking in my head "what the crap is this guy talking about". Good thing I have Justin here to help me. I was in the library the other day with my Biochem study group and I started to freak out a little. Now, let's first say that
1. study groups are good ideas for most people, but maybe not for me. I get so intimidated and I don't want to be the stupid person in the group so I usually just nod my head or stare at the problem trying to look like I'm thinking about it, when in reality I'm trying to figure out when I can go see Justin to have him help me.
2. the fact that it's the SECOND week of classes and I am already feeling overwhelmed about my classes is SO lame!
3. who the crap invented biochemisty. I guess I can see the point behind knowing how your body works, but doesn't the saying go "ignorance is bliss"? I decided that it's an unnecessary evil, and I would rather take O-chem any day....
Anyway, that's pretty much what is going on my life. So interesting I know. Oh I do have one class that is interesting. It's my life cycle nutrition class, and in it we have to be pregnant for a day, meaning we have to wear that hideous body suit that makes you look like your pregnent. So Justin if you see me on campus and I looked knocked up, don't freak out! We also get to pretend we are diabetic and will have to check our blood glucose and eat like a diabetic for a week or something like that. So soon I will be able to relate a little bit with Jacob. I can't wait. I am a little excited to be pregnant for a day. I can only imagine all the looks I will get. Maybe I can work it out so I'll have to wear the suit on a Sunday. Ha ha that would be pretty funny. Just kidding, I doubt I could get the suit on a weekend. Anyway I warned you all that if you didn't keep up on the posts you would all have to read mine! So, consider yourselves warned. On a happy note I am planning on going to Grandma and Grandpa's house next weekend. I am so excited. Going there is so great! I get good food and get to be spoiled and pampered by grandma and aunt cindy......it's really great. Well family I don't really know what else to say. I have some great pictures from my BRAND NEW CAMERA that I could probably add with this post, but that would require more effort, and I just plain don't want to. But I love the camera and some day I will post all of the amazing pictures I have taken. I know, you can't wait.......Well I love you all and hope everyone is doing good!
